privacy policy

our commitment to your privacy

15 Minute Mail was built with privacy at its core. This policy explains what we do (and don't do) with information when you use our disposable email service at 15minutemail.com. We aim to be fully compliant with applicable privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.

The short version: we don't collect personal data, we don't track you, and we don't sell anything about you to anyone.

what 15 Minute Mail does

15 Minute Mail generates a temporary, disposable email address for you instantly — no account, no sign-up, no password required. You can use this address to receive emails from any sender. The inbox and all its contents are automatically wiped after 2 hours.

The service is receive-only. You cannot send emails through 15 Minute Mail.

information we collect

We collect as little as possible — essentially nothing that identifies you:

  • No personal data. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other identifying information.
  • No IP address logging. Your IP address is not stored, logged, or associated with your inbox.
  • No account data. There are no user accounts, so there is no profile data to collect.
  • Email content. Emails delivered to your temporary address are stored temporarily on our servers for up to 2 hours, then permanently deleted. We do not read, analyze, or index email content.

cookies and analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics to collect anonymous usage data such as page views, feature interactions, and session duration. This data is aggregated and cannot be linked back to you individually. PostHog helps us understand how the service is used so we can improve it.

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our website. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Other third-party advertising partners (such as PropellerAds or Adsterra) may also use their own cookies or similar tracking technologies to serve and measure ads. These are governed by the respective ad network's privacy policy. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your browser settings or tools like the NAI opt-out page.

types of cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies. These are strictly necessary for the website to function (e.g., Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection, session management). They cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies (non-essential). Used by PostHog to collect anonymous usage statistics. These are only loaded if you accept non-essential cookies via our cookie consent banner.
  • Advertising cookies (non-essential). Used by Google AdSense and other ad networks to serve and personalize ads. These are only loaded if you accept non-essential cookies via our cookie consent banner.

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage for this site, which will cause the cookie consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

do we share your data?

We do not sell, rent, or trade any information about you. Period.

We may share aggregated, non-identifiable analytics data with trusted service providers who help us operate the platform (infrastructure, analytics). These partners are bound by confidentiality obligations and are not permitted to use the data for their own purposes.

third-party links and services

15 Minute Mail displays ads served by third-party ad networks. We also rely on PostHog for cookieless analytics. These third parties operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review:

We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites or services linked from within emails you receive.

data retention

All emails and any associated attachments delivered to a 15 Minute Mail inbox are automatically and permanently deleted after 2 hours. No backup copies are kept. Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing else to retain or delete on your behalf.

your rights (GDPR, LGPD & CCPA)

Because we do not collect or store personal data tied to you, most data subject rights (access, rectification, erasure) are satisfied by default — there is simply no personal data to act upon.

Regardless of your location, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access. You may request a copy of any personal data we hold about you. Since we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to provide, but we will confirm this upon request.
  • Right to deletion. You may request that we delete any personal data associated with you. Emails in temporary inboxes are automatically deleted after 2 hours.
  • Right to opt out. You can reject non-essential cookies (analytics and advertising) via our cookie consent banner at any time. If you previously accepted, clear your browser's localStorage for this site and the banner will reappear.
  • Right to data portability. You may request your data in a portable format. Since we store no personal data, this right is satisfied by default.

If you believe we hold any information about you, or if you have a privacy-related concern, please contact us at and we will respond promptly.

Residents of California (CCPA) have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. As noted above, we collect no personal information and sell none.

Residents of Brazil (LGPD) have equivalent rights under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, including the right to confirmation of data processing, access, correction, anonymization, and deletion.

your consent

By using 15 Minute Mail, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the service.

changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of 15 Minute Mail after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
